Industry Advisory Committee Composition

Chairman

The role of the Chairman encompasses the following responsibilities:

• Chair the scheduled meetings

• Facilitate liaison between industry and academia representatives outside of meetings

• Implement tasks assigned by the Industry Advisory Committee

• Liaise with the Dean of Curtin Engineering Faculty and Head of Department in respect to Industry Advisory Committee activities

• Facilitate a review of the strategic plan at the commencement of tenure

The Chairman shall be elected by the Industry Advisory Committee for a period of two(2) years with opportunity for re-appointment.

Secretary

The role of the Secretary encompasses the following responsibilities:

• Liaise with Chairman and Head of Department in respect to schedule and planning of Industry Advisory Committee meetings

• Attend the scheduled meetings

• Record and distribute minutes of meetings after consultation with the Chairman

• Implement tasks assigned by the Industry Advisory Committee

The Secretary shall be appointed by the Head of Department.

Industry Representatives

The role of the Industry Representative encompasses the following responsibilities:

• Attend the scheduled meetings

• Implement tasks assigned by the Industry Advisory Committee

The Industry Representative shall be invited to join the Industry Advisory Committee by the Chairman and Head of Department for a period of two(2) years with opportunity for re-appointment.

Head of Department

The role of the Head of Department encompasses the following responsibilities:

• Attend the scheduled meetings

• Implement/delegate tasks assigned by the Industry Advisory Committee

Academia Representatives

The role of the Academia Representative encompasses the following responsibilities:

• Attend the scheduled meetings

• Implement tasks assigned by the Industry Advisory Committee

The Academia Representative shall be invited to join the Industry Advisory Committee by the Head of Department [Area] for a period of two(2) years with opportunity for re-appointment.
