Mechanical Engineering Staff

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Curtin University is relatively small; it has 13 full-time academic staff and one administrative assistant. Our size enables us to maintain a personal, friendly and inclusive atmosphere for both students and staff. Our staff members, further to their individual specialist areas, possess a wider range of engineering knowledge than is customarily found in members of larger departments.

Most of our academic staff members have had extensive industrial experience prior to undertaking their academic career; this enables them to relate study-program content to the engineering environment in which our graduates will find employment.

Laboratory support is provided by 14 technical staff who are shared with the Faculty of Engineering and Computing.
